”Art is my language”

Susanna get her inspiration mainly from life in the north, animals, nature, the light, stillness, silence, the clean and the beautiful but also the wild and unexpected. Soft, romantic, dreamy women and animal are often in focus in her paintings. They have a special connection and comes with positive messages like hope, freedom, be kind, self confidence, follow your dreams and see the beauty in life. Her paintings have a romantic, dreamy vintage touch. Susanna says that her inspiration is a mix of  vintage/"old hollywood", grafitti and life in Lapland.

The color palette are light with pastels where pink, purple, blue and white are dominant colors. She often uses symbols for example eternity, butterfly, reindeer, snowflakes and the sami sun wheel in her paintings. Susanna wants her culture and life in Lapland be a part of her painting process. She uses different materials and medium in her painting process, for example graphite, markers, crayons, collage, gold leaf, acrylic and oils. She always works in multiple layers and the last layer is often oils to make the colors more vibrant and alive.

"Peacefulness through Art"

”I want to give you a moment of beauty, hope and stillness in a fast paced and stressful world. Let the soft sensitive pastel brushstrokes lead you to my dreamy, romantic world of colors and touch your heart with light, kindness, and hope that the world will be a better and peaceful place. Art can change the world and it starts within by finding your own inner peace and "happy place". I want my art to be that "happy place" for you.” I believe that color make people happier and become healthier through art."

At the moment Susanna has her studio in her home. Her plans is to have a bigger studio and her dream is to have a small gallery where she can sell her art and products. She also has plans to have art courses to inspire people to get more creative.
